The BMS program conducts research to improve care and outcomes for people with burn injuries.
Our team has the expertise to conduct state of the art qualitative and quantitative statistical analyses.
We provide researchers within and beyond the BMS with access to the data housed within the BMS National Database.
National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR)
The BMS is one of three multi-center programs sponsored by NIDILRR to examine outcomes following the delivery of a coordinated system of acute trauma care and rehabilitation:
- Burn Injury Model System (begun 1994)
- Traumatic Brain Injury Model System (begun 1987)
- Spinal Cord Injury Model System (begun 1970)
NIDILRR is housed within the Administration for Community Living , a part of the Department of Health and Human Services.
